Mind

We don’t think as much as we should, unless of course, when we think about it.

Some nights I stay up late just thinking about things. My thoughts are very random, but they usually revolve around life. From people I know, to things I still have to do or accomplish, everything from the cosmos and the beginning of time, to time itself.

Why do we think the way we think? When you think about it, when we think, it’s just chemical reactions and a constant creation of new neuron connection transmitting chemical signals. We think we have a greater purpose in life, but do we?

What’s the difference between you, an ape or a dolphin? The only difference is that we evolved faster. If you think about it we still have the same purpose, survive. We survive by reproducing, creating one better version of us with greater chance of survival. The monkey, the dolphin, the rat, the dog are all doing the same thing. Humans think we are smarter and better than the rest. But in essence we are doing the same thing as every living creature, we reproduce and then we die.

We have to think of ourselves not as humans above nature. We have to see ourselves as part of nature. One piece of the system. There’s more to the universe than just planet earth, than just you, or me. Think about it.
