Modeling Enterprise Architectures
Business Process Management is one of the few courses from in bachelor of Information Science that I can truly say is useful. Besides business process modeling we were also taught how to model enterprise architectures.
I am currently working on a new business endeavor and my modeling skills came in handy for creating the supply chain diagram. Not that it’s difficult to create one or anything.
The supply chain diagram shows how the enterprise works together with business partners to produce the goods or services for the customers. You can look at it as a abstraction of the business model.
I’m not going to show the actual diagram I created, because that would ruin the surprise. But here is a clear example of a supply chain diagram of Center Parcs taken from the article of Koning et al.
